| Office of Research Support for Proposal Consultant(s) To help improve the potential for success of large proposals, the Office of Research (OR) will provide as much as $500 toward the cost of a contract/purchase order with an outside proposal consultant who can help in the development of such a proposal. The amount must be matched on a 2:1 basis (so the OR will provide 1/3 of the total expenditure) by funds from other sources. In addition, the proposal must provide full F&A and the requested amount must exceed $500,000 per year for at least two years.
Projects which have the potential to significantly advance the strategic and academic goals but which do not meet these criteria will be considered by the Vice Provost for Research on a case-by-case basis.
NOTE: To ensure proper expenditure of funds, the Office of Research will provide coding for invoices rather than transferring the funds to a departmental account. The use of such proposal coordinators must be approved in advance with OGRD, and the invoices will be paid only after proposals have been submitted.
