OGRD ITEMS DISCUSSED
1. OGRD Updates (Andrea Comley)
• Wendy Wikstrom, Grant and Contract Specialist will be leaving WSU and OGRD to move to Tucson November 30, 2005. Her replacement is still in the hiring process.
• DISTRIBUTION (Dan Nordquist)
-Explanation of Principle Investigator and Research Administrator access into Gateway database.
-Research Administrators wishing to be added to the distribution for a single activity can add themselves by accessing the “Notification” tab in the Gateway. The notification tab can be located in the detail screen of each activity in Gateway. An individual will enter their email information in the Notification tab to receive distribution for the selected activity. Using your authority to operate this tab is based on the honor system as any individual can alter the information included in this tab.
2. Voluntary Cost Share (Andrea Comley)
• During proposal review, OGRD coordinators may identify voluntary cost share that has been incorporated into a proposal; however, it is ultimately the department's responsibility to determine if voluntary cost share is included. Voluntary cost share incorporated into the proposal is discouraged by the University but if included will be held accountable to the department.
Voluntary cost share will be added as a discussion to budgeting and cost share classes.
3. DOE/ Grants.gov
• As of October 1, 2005 DOE requires all applications to be submitted through Grants.gov. This process requires a considerable amount of extra time on the coordinator/OGRD side of the process. Please give OGRD enough time to process appropriately.
4. USDA : USDA has released 2006 request RFA.
